Terms of service
Effective July 17, 2026.
Who we are and what you're agreeing to
HS-X (“HS-X”, “we”, “us”) provides developer tooling for building on HubSpot: the hs-x CLI, SDKs, and an optional hosted platform at app.hs-x.dev. By creating an HS-X account or using the hosted platform, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
The open-source and source-available packages (such as hs-uix and the @hs-x/* toolkit) are governed by their own licenses, not these terms. These terms cover your account and the hosted service.
What the platform does
The hosted platform is a control plane: it manages your projects, deploys, audit history, and connections to HubSpot and Cloudflare. Your runtime — the workers, databases, and data your apps operate on — runs in your own Cloudflare account, not on HS-X infrastructure. The CLI also works without an HS-X account at all; the platform is opt-in.
Third-party accounts and credentials
You are responsible for your HubSpot and Cloudflare accounts, including their respective terms of service. When you connect them, HS-X stores least-privilege credentials needed to provision and update your runtime. You can disconnect either at any time from the dashboard, which revokes our access.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure. Magic-link emails grant access to your account; treat them like passwords.
What you can't do
- Use the service to violate the law or the rights of others.
- Use the service in ways that violate HubSpot's or Cloudflare's terms, or that abuse their APIs through the credentials HS-X holds for you.
- Probe, disrupt, or circumvent security or rate limits of the hosted platform.
- Resell or offer the hosted platform itself as a competing service.
Your code and data stay yours
You own your code, your configuration, and your data. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service — storing your project metadata, executing deploys you request, and displaying your data back to you. We claim no other rights over it. Runtime data (portal records, sync state, end-user data) lives in your Cloudflare account and never becomes ours to license.
Free tier and paid plans
The core tooling is free, and the platform has a free tier. Paid plans, when you choose one, are billed as described at the time of purchase. We'll give you reasonable advance notice of pricing changes that affect you, and you can cancel before they take effect.
The service is provided as-is
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. HubSpot and Cloudflare are independent platforms we don't control; their outages or API changes may affect the service.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HS-X will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $100 if you paid nothing.
Termination — leaveable by design
You can stop using the service at any time. Because your runtime lives in your own Cloudflare account, it keeps working if you disconnect from the platform — leaveable by design. Deleting your account revokes stored credentials and removes your control-plane data as described in the privacy notice.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll notify you by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. HS-X is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by HubSpot, Inc. or Cloudflare, Inc.; their names and marks belong to their respective owners.
